NC State is ranked No. 32 in the country in the USA Today coaches poll. The Wolfpack received 36 votes, which was seventh among teams "receiving votes." In the ACC, NC State was slotted sixth behind North Carolina (the co-No. 1 in the coaches poll with Kentucky), Duke (No. 3), Virginia (No. 6), Notre Dame (No. 18), and Louisville (No. 27). In the "for fun" category, ESPN college basketball ana - lyst Dick Vitale had NC State ranked eighth in the ACC and No. 29 in the country. CBSSports.com's college basketball staff ranked the Wolfpack sixth in the ACC and No. 32 nationally.
