WOMEN'S SOCCER (12‑4‑1) The No. 15 Irish defeated Wake Forest 1-0 at home Oct. 16, before splitting a road swing with a 2-1 loss at UNC Oct. 22 and a 1-0 win at Duke Oct. 25. MEN'S SOCCER (12‑4‑1) No. 8 Notre Dame tied Virginia Tech 0-0 Oct. 16 and Northwestern 1-1 Oct. 20, before falling 2-1 at Wake Forest Oct. 23. HOCKEY (1‑1‑2) Notre Dame opened their regular season by splitting a road series at Penn State, winning 7-4 Oct. 16 and falling 5-3 Oct. 17. The Irish returned home and registered a pair of 3-3 ties versus then-No. 5 Min- nesota Duluth Oct. 23-24. VOLLEYBALL (6‑16) The Irish suffered home defeats to Duke (3-0) Oct. 16, and Wake Forest (3-1) Oct. 18, before falling on the road to Louisville (3-0) Oct. 21 and Virginia (3-1) Oct. 23.
