School Commits Recruiting Notes • Notre Dame appears to still have a stake in the race to land Rivals100 wide receiver Donnie Corley. The Detroit Martin Luther King product said on Oct. 31 that he's still considering the Irish along with Michigan State, Tennessee, Michigan and Ohio State. "I still love Notre Dame," Corley said. "I love ev- erything about it." Corley, who visited South Bend for the Texas game Sept. 5, hasn't said much on record about Notre Dame the past few months, but Irish head coach Brian Kelly was at Detroit King two weeks ago re- cruiting, and the stop apparently rekindled some of the wideout's interest in the program. "Coach Kelly came by and talked coach for a min- ute. We can't really talk to him, but he just said, 'Hello' and that was it," Corley said referring to a 'bump' into Kelly. "I want to try and get back to another game if I can," he added. But that's where things could get complicated. Corley plans to announce a commitment Dec. 8 — his mother's birthday — but Detroit King (10-0) is scheduled to play every Saturday until Nov. 28 if it continues to advance in the state playoffs. "It's hard because we're going to be having straight Saturday games, but we are going to have to try, after one game, to get somewhere," Corley said. The 6-2, 187-pounder has already taken official visits to Michigan State and Tennessee, and said that Michigan is also pushing to get him on campus. Rivals ranks him as the No. 16 wide receiver and No. 82 overall prospect in the nation. • The Irish might already have four defensive ends committed to the recruiting class, but that doesn't mean that the coaches are done recruiting the position. Detroit Martin Luther King four-star wide receiver Donnie Corley hasn't had his name linked much to Notre Dame the past few months, but he says the Irish are still in the mix.
