Josh Adams made the
most of his opportunity
at Pittsburgh Nov. 7.
With 20 carries for 147
yards, he fell just one
yard short of the Irish
single game freshman
rushing record. Senior
running back C.J. Pro‑
sise left due to a concus‑
sion and shoulder injury
and did not return, but
Adams helped the Irish
build a 42‑17 lead be‑
fore two late scores by
the Panthers made it a
12‑point margin of vic‑
tory.
"It was just 'next man
in' and I did my best
to do what I could to
help the team," Adams
said. "Practice how you
play and practice hard
all week. C.J. is always
helping me get better and
learn the offense more. I
was just trying to get in
there and do my job and
do the best I could."
Adams received the
game ball from head
coach Brian Kelly for
his effort in the win that
improved Notre Dame
