For now, Petersen isn't concerned with any individual honors. As long as he's helping his team win, he knows ac‑ colades will come. "I share the team and individual goal of winning a Hockey East championship and a national championship," he said. "Obviously I think the individual acco‑ lades would come with that success, and that's my main focus right now. "Every time I go out and try to give my team the best opportunity to win, trying to win a championship and our league." ✦ Irish Roundup CROSS COUNTRY Both the Notre Dame men's and women's teams competed at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Nov. 13 in Madison, Wis. The women finished second out of 31 teams, with the dynamic duo of senior Molly Seidel and freshman Anna Rohrer placing first and second, respectively. The men, meanwhile, notched a fourth-place showing out of 30 teams. Senior Michael Clevenger was the top Irish performer, crossing the finish line in third place. WOMEN'S SOCCER (13‑4‑1, 6‑4‑0 ACC) The No. 11 Irish hosted Oakland in the first round of the NCAA Championship Nov. 13. MEN'S SOCCER (11‑3‑5, 4‑2‑2 ACC) No. 9 Notre Dame hosted and defeated No. 17 Virginia 1-0 in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals Nov. 8, before springing a 1-0 upset at No. 1 Wake Forest in the semifinals Nov. 11. The Irish hosted No. 13 Syracuse in the ACC title game Nov. 15. HOCKEY (4‑2‑2) The Irish split a two-game homestand with Minnesota, emerging with a 4-3 victory Nov. 6 and falling 4-1 Nov. 7. Notre Dame hosted Northeastern for a two-game series Nov. 12-13. VOLLEYBALL (6‑20, 1‑13 ACC) Notre Dame fell 3-0 to Virginia Tech Nov. 6 and 3-0 to Pittsburgh Nov. 8 in a two-game ACC homestand. The Irish next hit the road for matches at Florida State Nov. 13 and Miami Nov. 15. SWIMMING & DIVING The Irish men's and women's teams both competed in a triple-dual meet with Virginia Tech and Pitts- burgh Nov. 6-7. The men's squad defeated Pittsburgh 214-150, but fell 237-131 to Virginia Tech. The women's team fell 188-182 to Pittsburgh and 208-162 to Virginia Tech. — Jordan Wells
