3 Times in the last 26 years, or since 1990, that Notre Dame has finished a season unbeaten at home. The 6-0 ledger this year also occurred in 1998 and 2012. In the 26 seasons prior, from 1964-89, Notre Dame finished unbeaten and untied at home nine times. 19-0 Record under Brian Kelly when Notre Dame does not commit a turnover, which happened for the third time this year for the Irish. The other two were in the first two games, versus Texas and Virginia. 21-3 Record at home by the graduating Notre Dame senior class. That ties it with the 1991 (1987-90 football seasons) and 1992 (1988-91) senior classes for the most victories at home over a four-year period. The 1991 group fin- ished 21-2 while the 1992 class was 21-3. The losses from 2012-15 in Notre Dame Stadium were Okla- homa in 2013, and Northwestern and Louisville in the final two home contests in 2014. 30 Games since Notre Dame returned an in- terception for a touchdown, until sopho- more defensive end Andrew Trumbetti did in the second quarter. The last Irish player to pull off the feat was linebacker Dan Fox in the 37-34 win over Arizona State in 2013, and the most recent lineman was Stephon Tuitt that same year in a 41-30 loss at Michigan. 36 Different Fighting Irish players who have started a game this season, with 20 on of- fense and 16 on defense. Making their starting debuts this season in the Wake Forest game were sopho- more defensive end Andrew Trumbetti and freshman running back Josh Adams. 49 Plays run by Notre Dame for 282 yards, the fewest since it had 49 for 256 yards versus Utah on Nov. 13, 2010, in head coach Brian Kelly's first season. The scores were almost identical — a 28-3 victory versus the Utes and 28-7 against Wake Forest, and only one day apart. 54 Career victories at Notre Dame by head coach Brian Kelly after the victory against Wake Forest. His 54-21 mark now moves him past 1975-80 head coach Dan Devine, who was 53-16-1, for fifth place on the all-time Fighting Irish win chart. The top four win totals are Knute Rockne (105-12-5 from 1918-30), Lou Holtz (100-30-2 from 1986-96), Ara Parseghian (95-17-4 from 1964-74) and Frank Leahy (87-11-9 from 1941-43, 1946-53). 282 Yards of total offense produced by the Irish, easily the fewest this season, with the 432 in the 24-22 loss at Clemson the previous low. This had been the first Notre Dame team since 1987 to produce 400 yards total offense in its first nine games, and only the second since 1950. The Fighting Irish finished with a 6-0 record at Notre Dame Stadium, marking just the third time in the past 26 years they finished undefeated at home. PHOTO BY BILL PANZICA
