FOOTBALL RECRUITING ROUNDUP High four-star cornerback Troy Pride decommitted from Virginia Tech Nov. 12 just two weeks after Hokies' head coach Frank Beamer announced that he was retiring at the end of the season. While Pride said that he'll still give the ACC pro- gram consideration, Notre Dame already looks to have the inside track to land his services. The 6-0, 165-pound cornerback, who is ranked as the No. 11 player in South Carolina by Rivals, was on campus for an official visit Oct. 17 and has kept in contact with the staff. "I know where I am with ND!" Pride said in a message the day Beamer announced the news. Tennessee, North Carolina, Clemson and Georgia Tech remain in the mix. — Andrew Ivins Follow @@BGI_AndrewIvins on Twitter for daily recruiting updates available on BlueandGold.com!
