MICHIGAN FOOTBALL A starter in four of Michigan's first 10 games, fifth-year senior Buck linebacker Royce Jenkins-Stone made 34 tackles, including five for loss and two sacks. The Wolverine: Michigan has allowed only eight touchdowns on 22 red-zone possessions, ranking sixth nationally in allowing a TD rate of 36.4 percent. Why has this defense been so good in the red zone? Jenkins-Stone: "It's just something that Coach [D.J.] Durkin preaches, 'Hold them to a field goal or get a turnover. Make plays.' They shouldn't have been there in the first place, and we preach on being one of the best defenses in the country — that's a high expectation, so we have to uphold it.
