Recruiter of record: Tight ends/fullbacks coach and special teams coordinator Eddie Faulkner. Dave Doeren on Autenrieth: "He had 40-plus catches his senior year and plays against tremendous competition down there. We feel like he can put on some weight and play not just our H position [lined up as a receiver], but also as he gets bigger, be able to put his hand down and play inside as our Y [lined up as a lineman]." Scouting report: Impressive route runner and receiver … Earned offer from NCSU after Faulkner and former offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Matt Canada were impressed by his physicality in the blocking game … Will need to get bigger and stronger. 2016 projection: The Pack has a potential opening for some help at tight end, but Autenrieth will need to add strength before he is ready to compete at the ACC level. How much he gains will determine his odds of playing versus redshirt - ing next fall. Bryce Banks CORNERBACK Columbia (Mo.) Rock Bridge High • 6-2, 184 pounds Measurables: At the Nike Opening in Columbus, Ohio, ran the 20-yard pro agility shuttle in 4.24 seconds and had a 33.9-inch vertical leap. Honors/accomplishments: Se- lected first-team All-USA Missouri by USA Today … Picked to The Columbia Daily Tribune All-Area first team as a senior … Named second-team all- state in 2015 by the state's sports- writers and sportscasters, who also tabbed him first-team all-district. Recruitment: Verbally committed to Missouri over the summer after earning an offer at their camp … Decommitted from the Tigers later in the summer and took official visits to Illinois (Dec. 4) and NC State (Nov. 21) in the fall … Verbally committed to NCSU on Dec. 10 and enrolled early. Recruiter of record: Cornerbacks coach George Barlow. Dave Doeren on Banks: "He's a guy with his length, at 6-2, that's played not just corner, but if he grows into a safety, he does have experience there. He has long arms and ball skills, and comes from a championship program." Scouting report: Good-sized and athletic defensive back … Due to frame and athleticism, has the potential to play either corner or safety … Considered raw, but with a high ceiling. 2016 projection: Banks is an inspirational story of overcoming a difficult up - bringing to reach high-level college football. He reportedly saw someone getting shot when he was 5 years old, and numerous family members had troubles with the law. Banks may be the type that you should not bet against playing early and making an impact, especially with lack of depth and experience at cornerback.
