"That's something that either opens or it doesn't," he said. "You can't bank on that. I've been around professional athletics for a while now with my dad and it's an opportunity. After my sophomore year, I was projected to be a first-round draft pick. Then I didn't have a great season last year, and all of that was gone in a blink of the eye. "So I know very well that I can't say I'm going to do pro football. That's something that either opens or it doesn't." Robinson said he hopes his com- mitment both on and off the field the past three years at Notre Dame dispels any notion that he can't thrive in both areas. "I've been involved in many things during my time at Notre Dame, and I've given it everything I have in ev- ery regard," he said."It's one of those things that if you're a good time man- ager and you understand that when you do something you give your all at it, and then in your off time you're working toward the betterment of that goal and not destroying your work and the progress you've made. "I think you can do multiple things and be at your best." ✦
