Of that group, the Cavaliers are particularly excited about Mack, who was a first-team all- region 6-AA selection and second-team Class AA all-state pick at defensive back. "He's a big kid, and the nice thing about that is with big safeties, there's always the potential for moving them," Anderson said of Mack. "What if he grows to be 6-5 or 6-6 and 240 pounds? Now he can play outside linebacker for us, and he's super athletic. "At safety, we like to find athletic guys who can come down and hit. Our safeties are asked to do a lot in our scheme, and he's got a lot of upside for that. "He's got a great frame, and he's a smart kid. I think he's a great fit, a prototype for us in terms of what we look for." UVA also added a pair of offensive line- men in 6-8, 280-pound Ben Knutson out of Granger (Ind.) Penn and 6-5, 255-pound Dil- lon Reinkensmeyer out of Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Valor Christian. And perhaps the top playmaker of the class is a wide receiver from the Garden State — three-star Irvington (N.J.) DePaul Catholic's Hasise Dubois picked the Cavaliers over a number of schools last summer, including Ohio State. Charlotte Court House (Va.) Randolph- Henry wide receiver Joe Reed is listed as a three-star prospect, but is considered a sleeper with big-play potential.
