With the flurry of fundraising activity tak- ing place, I recently had a donor ask what would make the "ultimate donor." We are for- tunate that we have several examples of life- long supporters to use as a guide. In addition to attending games and providing emotional support (which includes wearing orange and blue as often as possible), the ultimate donor would participate each year in the VAF An- nual Fund, support their sport of choice in a capital campaign or special fundraising initiative and make a gift as part of his/her estate plan. It is truly amazing to have so many people who are the "ultimate donor" for Virginia athletics. When we conceived our All In For Excellence initiative, it was this kind of sup- port that we envisioned. I am hopeful that we can continue to build our donor base with All In generosity. With a membership of over 9,600, every gift is important as we strive to reach our 2016 Annual Fund goal of $18,300,000. Thank you for your loyal support. Best regards, Dirk P.
