The primary challenge facing student- athletes today is: Finding the balance between working out, practicing, getting in your school work and actually having a social life. The best thing about UVA is: The cul- ture. The people I've met here have been awesome. It's so beautiful. It's a great place to be. Why I chose UVA: For the great educa- tion and the beautiful Grounds. What I like the most about softball: Just being surrounded by great team- mates, and getting out there and com- peting. The most important thing I've learned from softball is: Teamwork. The highlight of my athletic career: My senior year in high school (Rosary High in Fullerton, Calif.) we made it to the quarterfinals in the state play- offs, which is farther than anybody thought we would advance. It was a great moment. My dream vacation would be: Traveling all throughout Europe to the different countries.
