high school and stared at another in
college he was sold on Notre Dame.
"The coaches have a lot of experi-
ence developing players like myself,
so I know that it's a really great thing
that I'm walking into," Robertson
said.
The coaching staff wasn't the only
plus at Notre Dame. There were the
academics and what he calls the "op-
portunities" as well.
"It's just what everybody says. It's
the connections after football," Rob-
ertson said. "I'll be able to be success-
ful, I'll be able to have a good secure
job and I'll be able to have a lot of
resources. That's the main thing that
stood out to me and then just Notre
Dame as a football program."
While Robertson might be commit-
ted to the Irish, he knows that other
schools are going to continue to try
and recruit him. However, those ef-
forts might be better used elsewhere.
"For me, recruiting is definitely
done," Robertson said. "Illinois said
that they are still going to come at me,
but I'm committed to Notre Dame
and they don't have to worry about
anything. I'm committed and locked
in. I just can't wait to get down there."
Robertson picked Notre Dame over
his other five finalists: Illinois, Iowa,
Penn State, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.
He also held offers from Minnesota,
Iowa State, Maryland, Syracuse and
Indiana.

sociation Class 8A (largest schools)
