He arrived thinking that Notre Dame wanted him to catch passes at the next level, but after he sat down with head coach Brian Kelly and associate head coach Mike Denbrock he learned that his Irish future would be at safety. "What they have been telling me is that I'm going to be able to come in and help them out at free safety, but as time goes on they might sprinkle me in as a wide receiver some," Rob- ertson said. Notre Dame's vision for Robertson might have been unique compared to what other schools were saying, but the rising senior says that after listen- ing to the coaches list off examples of recruits that played one position in FILM ANALYSIS Strengths Landing players with position flexibility is always ideal for a coaching staff, and he is one of the most versatile players in the class of 2017 … Grades out as a four-star safety and a four-star wide receiver, but it is on the defensive side of the ball that he shows his most upside … Long athlete with a good frame, one that should allow him to get to an easy 200-plus pounds … Athletically, is very smooth and changes directions with ease … Instinctive and makes quick reads … Once he gets stronger, his tackling ability will improve. Areas For Improvement A bit on the thin side, so filling out his frame and adding strength will be important for him moving forward … Added strength should help improve his speed, which is just average at this point … Playing on one side of the ball in college should help him become a more refined player. — Bryan Driskell
