have come up front, where third-year defen-
sive tackle Andrew Brown, a former five-
star recruit, has moved to end and fourth-
year Donte Wilkins has taken over at nose
tackle.
One player that Cavalier fans will want to
get to know is second-year defensive back
Juan Thornhill. After being slotted at safety
last fall, the Altavista,Va., native has moved
to cornerback. But his new head coach loves
the versatility that the 6-1, 200-pounder
brings to the table.
"Right from the minute we arrived here,
he was someone who drew our attention
with his athleticism and his production,"
Mendenhall said of Thornhill. "We think
we can play him at a number of spots and
there's a very good chance he'll be running
out on the field with the first unit some-
where in the secondary.
"He's big, he's strong, he's fast and he
makes plays."
Second-year defensive back Juan Thornhill made only two tackles in nine games last
year, but is expected to provide athleticism and production in UVA's secondary in 2016.
