■ BASKETBALL RECRUITING Clark knows what would happen if State pulls the trigger with a scholarship offer. "They would have a big chance because it's close to home," Clark said. "They'd defi- nitely be one of the top schools if I had a list of top schools. "They've been talking to me pretty much since April. They've been on me pretty hard." Clark's father also got to experience the campus and facilities for the first time. Donte Clark had been thinking about squeezing in the trip for several weeks. "They've been trying to get me up there, and we had some time off," Clark said. "Ev- erything looked pretty nice, and the facilities looked new. You can see the rebuilding of things. "I met [NCSU senior small forward] Scott Wood from the team. I also talked to the lady that helps out the academics on the basketball side." Clark has had the offers pouring in the last two months. "Memphis, Tennessee, Providence, Mi- ami, Murray State, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Radford, Gard- ner-Webb, East Carolina, Tennessee-Chatta- nooga, Jacksonville, Mercer and High Point have offered," Clark said. "I think NC State and probably more than likely Alabama and Cincinnati are close." Clark started his prep career at Charlotte Hopewell High, and then made the move to Queens Grant and Kennedy Charter in the Queen City. He reclassified to 2013 along the way, and is now going to spend his se- nior year at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va. "It's going to be fun because I'll be playing with a lot of good players like Greg McClin- ton, who is going to Wake Forest, and Anton Gill, who is going to Louisville," said Clark, who is undecided on whether he'll sign in the fall or spring. ■ Sharing Powerful Tools to Improve Bottom Line Performance Using advanced technology and consulting expertise, we provide a variety of value-added services to our clients.
