Walters was selected by the Minnesota Vikings with the 165th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He played two years with the Vikings before moving on to the Indianapolis Colts. He appeared in 52 games and started six times alongside Peyton Manning from 2002-05. Walters later played for the Arizona Cardinals in 2006 and the Detroit Lions in 2007.
