The NEW Story of Notre Dame FROM CHAPTER 8: THE HEAVE ON THE EVE Twas the Night before New Year's, and in South Louziana The Irish arrived to defeat Alabama Some Catholics were hung in the late afternoon When they got too rowdy in a Cajun Saloon And then for a hundred Alfonse danced, dodged and juked While up in the booth, Bud Wilkinson puked When Conflict Began, the Fans seemed all Tide Then Irish Appeared all on the Victory's Side that Potempa'd get in there and kill Richard Todd Who threw to a receiver, who then threw it back, and it seemed so unfair in the score we did lack And in every quarter, we all prayed to God As that wonderful time when the Judge passed the Bar But the Irish undaunted marched back down the field But the Crimson Tide defense would not totally yield Then the Judge came through, but needed some luck He got us three points, though his kick really sucked Now that kick is known near and afar Purchase at 1-888-795-4274 or www.thenewstoryofnotredame.com $12.99 plus S/H He could not stop the rain, but he did stem the Tide. For it was His Mother who called the last heave Then on all shoulders our Ara did ride Then 'Bama came back, but stopped at midfield Red kicked to our one, the game's fate unsealed Not even God knew what was up Ara's sleeve www.BLUEANDGOLD.com only schools in the FBS never to play an FCS (formerly Division I-AA) team. Notre Dame has not released any full- season football schedules beyond 2012. The Irish tentatively are scheduled to begin September 2015 with Texas MAY 2012 15
