The best and the rest from the Lions' JUDGMENT scores on five receptions. He's the first Penn State receiver to catch three touch- downs since Graham Zug did it in 2009. PLAY OF THE GAME Matt McGloin's pass to P Trevor Williams over the middle on sec- ond-and-7 from the Navy 25-yard line bounced high up into the air and straight into the waiting arms of Robin- son. BEST RUN Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds picked up 30 yards on a nice carry out of the triple-option on the final play of the third quarter. BEST PASS On first-and-15 from the Penn State 29-yard line, McGloin dropped back and calmly fired a pass to Robin- son, who eclipsed 100 yards on the play with a 19-yard reception. WORST PASS McGloin's fourth-down at- tempt into the end zone late in the first half was a prayer that went unanswered, as Navy cornerback Quincy Adams easily broke up the pass and knocked it to the turf. BEST CATCH Robinson broke away early on a first-and-10 from the Navy 45 midway through the first quarter and caught a pass before juking to his right. The move made Navy safety Tra'ves Bush com- pletely miss as Robinson cruised to the end zone. WORST DROP Gerald Hodges read Navy quarterback Trey Miller's pass over the middle in the third quarter perfectly but let the ball bounce off his hands. COACHSPEAK HIGH FIVE After the win, O'Brien said, "I've said this from day one and it relates to this football team that's in that locker room right now. I feel very close to this football team and our staff." John Beale BEST HIT Jake Fagnano absolutely slammed into Navy running back Bo Snelson on a first-and-goal carry late in the first quarter. BEST EFFORT Hodges and Sean Stanley made a tremendous play on third-and- goal from the Penn State 11. With Navy quarterback Trey Miller under extreme pressure from Stanley, Hodges alertly found the floating football and pulled it in for the turnover. BEST SACK Mauti forced intentional grounding against Miller on a fourth- and-16 play late in the third quarter. By rule, he is given the sack for the play, re- sulting in a 21-yard loss. WORST KICK Sam Ficken and the Penn State place-kicking unit had trouble again this week, missing another PAT in the first half. It was Ficken's second missed extra point in two weeks. MOST TELLING MOMENT When Ficken split the uprights on his first PAT attempt in the first quarter, the Beaver Stadium crowd erupted in cheers. There was no hint of malice, just genuine appreciation for a kid who had a tough day a week ago. – NATE BAUER
