Truit is headliner among visiting recruits RYAN SNYDER | B L U E WH I T E I L L U S T R A T E d Penn State hosted just fewer than 20 prospects for the game against Navy Saturday. Adam Breneman, a tight end from Camp Hill, Pa., and offensive lineman Andrew Nelson of Hershey, Pa., were the two names most fans will most likely recognize, since they have al- ready verbally committed to the Lions, but the staff hosted a few Class of 2014 recruits, too. Defensive back Omar Truit, from St. John's College High in Washington, D.C., was arguably the most talented prospect outside of Breneman in at- tendance. With early verbal scholar- ship offers from Richmond and Syracuse, Truit has the potential to be a four-star prospect when the rank- ings come out next spring. Alabama, Auburn, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Florida State are just a few of the schools beginning to show serious in- terest, but it's actually Penn State that Truit admits has his attention. "I want to visit some of those schools," Truit said. "A lot of them want me to come visit, but I feel really solid with Penn State. They're the school I want to see play the most, they're the school I feel most comfort- able with." He then added, "The Penn State coaches know where I stand with them. They know how bad I want that offer. Honestly, I would definitely con- sider committing and getting every- thing over with if Penn State offered. The coaches know that, and I'm not worried or anything. I know they're real busy right now. They still have to figure out their situation for this year." What follows is the complete list of prospects that Blue White Illustrated confirmed were in attendance. Tight end Adam Breneman, Camp Hill, Pa., Cedar Cliff (2013); tight end Luke Carrezola, Langhorne, Pa., Ne- shaminy (2014); defensive end Forrest Christmann, Slippery Rock, Pa., Slip- pery Rock High (2013); kicker Tyler Czajkowski, Springfield, Va., West Springfield (2013); offensive lineman Alec Eberle, Mechanicsville, Va., Atlee (2014); two-way lineman Eric Gallo, Richboro, Pa., Council Roch South (2014); athlete Chris Geiss, Malvern, Pa., Great Valley (2013); long snapper Hayden Grover, Spencer, N.Y., Spencer-Van Etten (2014); offensive lineman James McHale, Dunmore, Pa., Dunmore (2014); offensive line- man Andrew Nelson, Hershey, Pa., Hershey (2013); two-way lineman GAME GALLERY Connor Newlin, Souderton, Pa., Soud- erton (2013); athlete Foster Reznor, Grove City, Pa., Grove City (2014); athlete Kyle Searfoss, Lewisberry, Pa., Red Land (2013); linebacker Brandon Smith, Lewisburg, Pa., Lewisburg (2013); defensive back Omar Truit, Washington, D.C., St. John's College High (2014); two-way lineman Rick Young, Souderton, Pa., Souderton (2014).
