Warren and point guard Tyler Lewis all have been selected to play in the McDonald's All-American Game March 28 at the United City in Chicago. The trio made NCSU history in the pro- cess. NC State has had two players in a single class be selected in the game in the past — Sidney Lowe and Dereck Whit- tenburg in 1979, and Chris Corchiani and Rodney Monroe in 1987 — but never three. The Wolfpack has had 16 players earn se- lections since the game started in 1977. Purvis, who is ranked No. 6 in the coun- try by Rivals.com, has had a standout se- nior season at Raleigh Upper Room Chris- tian Academy. The combo guard was also selected to play in the Jordan Brand Classic April 14 in Charlotte, N.C. "It is just a huge blessing," Purvis said. "It's just a honor to be mentioned with the great tradition of names who participated in the McDonald's All-American Game." I just want to continue to get better and get ready for the next level. To have two other teammates in the game is real great for our program at North Carolina State."
