Former Illinois head coach Kim Landrus has replace Mark Stevenson, who is the only head coach the Wolfpack have ever known since the program started in 1981. Stevenson finished his run with six confer- ence titles and 27 postseason appearances. Landrus, a former Iowa State gymnastics standout, is ready to put her imprint on the program and have NC State continue to compete for East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) titles. She likes what she inherited from Stevenson. "Senior Chelsea Knight, junior Paris Phillips and sophomore Drew Grantham are all having a great preseason so far," Landrus said. "With what I've seen now and in the past, and then their personalities, I'd expect those three to continue to flourish and be impact players. I'm really excited for this team, and they are a talented group. I'm excited to see how all of this builds." LSU, UCLA and Washington in Dallas, Jan. 27 — LSU finished as the national-runner-up last year behind Oklahoma, and UCLA was fourth at the NCAA Championships. Washington also reached the NCAA Championships, but did not qualify for the Super Six (the final six teams that compete for the national title). LSU will also come to Reynolds Coliseum in a dual meet March 9. • Vs. Michigan in Raleigh, Feb. 17 — Michigan comes to Raleigh in a quad meet that also includes North Carolina and Brown. The Wolverines reached the NCAA Championships, but did not make the Su - per Six. Michigan finished the regular season ranked No. 7 nationally, and reached the NCAA Champion- ships for the 23rd time. U-M also won the Big Ten title for the fourth straight year. • NCAA Regional in Raleigh, April 7 — Renovated Reynolds Coliseum will be hosting an NCAA Regional. NC State did not qualify for the team competition last year at the regional held at the University of Florida, but did send four individual performers.
