66 ■ THE WOLFPACKER BASKETBALL PREVIEW 2017-18 ■ Lennard Freeman 1 • PF 5th-Sr. • Washington, D.C • 6-8 • 265 Analysis: Although Freeman has been listed officially at 265 pounds, his weight is probably closer to 250 after a concentrated effort to get into shape after missing last season to recover from leg surgery. NC State sorely missed Freeman's rebounding and physicality in the paint while he sat out. Career Highlights: Redshirted last season … Despite a nagging leg injury, managed to play all 33 games and make 15 starts as a junior in 2015-16 … Posted a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Bucknell … Had a career-high 14 boards in a victory at Pitt … Started the final 11 games of the season as a sophomore … Had a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds in the Pack's NCAA Tournament win over Vil - lanova in the round of 32 … Was a part-time starter in the post as a freshman, opening 11 contests … Second on the team with 127 defen- sive rebounds … Selected to play in the Capital Classic all-star game after averaging 8.6 points and 9.8 rebounds per game as a senior at national high school basketball powerhouse Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va. … Was an all-conference selection as a junior at St. John's College High School in Washington, D.C., the last of two seasons he played there.
