With the brick that covered Yost's windows for 40 years now removed, natural light pours into the arena during afternoon practices and in the hours of dusk on game days. U-M ripped out the bleachers throughout the arena, installing brand-new benches to pro- vide a more comfortable seating environment for its fans. A fan takes a trip down memory lane, observ- ing the history of Michigan hockey in the illus- trations of great players and teams adorning the walls of the east and west concourses. Michigan fans have never been closer to the action with additional on-the-glass seating. Above: U-M's club seating, opened in 2001, on the east side of the arena was one of the few areas largely untouched during renovation. Right: The press box made way for new luxury boxes on the west side of the stadium, complete with flat-screen TVs and hot meals, while the press box moved into a brand-new level-four space.
