126 ■ THE WOLFPACKER BY MATT CARTER T he 2017-18 sports calendar year for NC State athletics would be tough to top, but the Wolfpack is proving to have staying power while continuing its ascent to be- coming one of the top overall athletic pro- grams in the ACC. NC State won four conference titles in 2018-19, tying for the most of any school in the ACC. There were postseason successes to celebrate, including men's swimming and diving's fourth straight podium finish (top four) at the NCAA Championships. However, the female sports led the way overall. Women's swimming and diving fin- ished seventh at the NCAA Championships after winning an ACC title, and women's soccer, women's tennis and women's bas- ketball all made Sweet 16 runs. The Wolfpacker takes a look back at the 2018-19 school year with a list of some of the best team and individual showings for the Red and White.
