JULY 2019 ■ 147 ■ BASKETBALL RECRUITING Elizabeth Williams was a standout at Duke, is ranked No. 51 overall in the country for the class of 2020 by Rivals.com. He has picked up 20 offers, including one from the Wolfpack on June 24, 2018. NC State and Duke have both prioritized the gifted big man. "NC State and Duke are both great programs, and NC State has been recruit- ing me a little bit longer," Williams said. "Coach K [Mike Krzyzewski] is a great coach. NC State, the whole staff has been prioritizing me — Duke has too, but they have for a longer time. Both like my play- ing style." Williams attended the NC State team camp with Norfolk Academy the last two years, which also helped the Wolfpack. Williams averaged 13.3 points, 7.9 re- bounds and 2.2 blocks per game for the Boo Williams traveling team in 13 Nike Elite Youth Basketball League games this spring. He will likely visit some colleges following the Nike Peach Jam July 11-14. "I'll probably go to Duke, Ohio State, UCLA and probably NC State right before Duke for convenience," Williams said.
