out there and be hesitant, then yeah, I
probably will get hurt [again]."
This is Crawford's fifth year of col-
lege football. Because he has had two
season-ending injuries, he is a likely
candidate for a medical redshirt and
sixth year of eligibility, but that's not
likely in the cards.
"I don't plan on using it," he said.
That means this is his last hur-
rah in an Irish uniform — an op-
portunity many outside of the pro-
gram weren't sure he'd ever get. But
Crawford has put himself in a posi-
tion to succeed and help the team, all
while overcoming three seemingly
insurmountable obstacles along the

Crawford has battled back from three season-ending injuries to earn a role in the Irish secondary this year. He played nearly 60 snaps in the opener against
Louisville, and his teammates have been energized by his return to the lineup.
