In addition, he works closely with the track and field and cross country, women's soccer and wrestling programs. Weigand graduated from UVA in '08 with a degree in psychology from the College of Arts and Sciences. While on Grounds, he was a member of the football program as a punter and two-year letter winner, earning 2nd team All-ACC honors after his senior season. He is excited to return home to Charlottesville and give back to the University that has given him so much. His professional career has been committed to the fundraising side of intercollegiate athletics. Over the past nine years he has worked at Michigan State, Northern Arizona and Long Beach State in various capacities with experience ranging from annual fund to major gifts. He is pas - sionate about building and maintaining relationships, as they are the key to transforming lives for the young people we serve. He is married to Darcie, also a former track and field student-athlete at Long Beach State. They have two sons Jameson, three and Sullivan, one.
