Dickey and Tony Gant Dozens of Michigan football alumni traveled to Ann Arbor for the spring game during the weekend of April 13, reuniting with each other and playing in the annual alumni flag football game. Former U-M quarterback B.J. Dickey (197781) and safety Tony Gant (1982-86) were on the Blue team, which won 3629. Dickey was named the game's MVP for leading the winning touchdown drive. The Wolverine: How much fun is it to come back and play in something like this? Dickey: "It's a riot. It's so much fun. The camaraderie that is here, just getting together to tell old stories, is fun. This game is about fun and laughs and having a good time, but we are still Dickey was named the MVP of the annual alumni flag competitive. It's great to see some of the guys I haven't seen for a couple years." The Wolverine: What is it like to come back here and play in The Big House? Gant: "It brings back a lot of memories. It's hard to believe it has been almost 30 years since I was out here. It brings out certain memories, plays and games that will be with me forever. It was nice to relive some of those with my old teammates. The Wisconsin game, 1984, I broke my leg over there on the 45-yard line. In this stadium, that probably stands out the most for me." The Wolverine: Tony, your son, Allen Gant, is a safety on the current team. What's it like to see him play for Michigan? Gant: "It is every father's dream come true to have your son follow you. Allen is a terrific kid, an outstanding person and a great football player. I can't wait to sit in these stands for the next four years and watch him play. It's going to be a very enjoyable experience for me. He is loving it. His studies are coming
