The fourtime Pro Bowler accomplished plenty with the franchise after going No. 1 overall in the 2008 NFL Draft, but injuries prevented him from playing to his expectations the last few years. His most recent, a torn triceps muscle, ended his season last year, while biceps, knee and back injuries have also slowed him. That didn't prevent the St. Louis Rams from offering him a four-year, $34 million contract when the Dolphins essentially decided to move on without him, offering him only a team-friendly contract. Long plans to reward the Rams' confidence. "I'm feeling great. I'm about four months out of surgery," Long said in early April at his introductory press conference. "Feeling strong. Working real hard. I'm just ready to get back on the field and get all this rehab stuff behind me. "It was definitely frustrating.
