Under the Dome tion among Division I schools. The top four were Ohio State (Urban Meyer and Thad Matta), Michigan (Brady Hoke and John Beilein), Oklahoma (Bob Stoops and Lon Kruger) and Alabama (Nick Saban and Anthony Grant). Right behind the Kelly-Brey tandem were Louisville (Charlie Strong and Rick Pitino) and Michigan State (Mark Dantonio and Tom Izzo). Kelly also was No. 5 in the Sporting News' list of best college football coaches, behind Saban, Meyer, Boise State's Chris Petersen and Stoops. 10 Teams Notre Dame has defeated during the regular season in its men's basketball history that went on to win the national title in basketball that same year, including the five-overtime victory against Louisville this year on Feb. 9. The other nine were Kentucky (1948), Indiana (1953), UCLA (1971 and 1975), Indiana (1981), North Carolina State (1983), Kansas (1988) and Connecticut (one time in 2004, and in both meetings in 2011). 308.8 Average weight of Notre Dame's top offensive line at the end of spring practice, among them junior right guard Conor Hanratty at 309. The 1966 Fighting Irish national championship starting offensive line — with Hanratty's father, Terry, at quarterback — averaged 231.6 pounds per man, with first-round pick Tom Regner at left guard the largest member at 245 pounds (at a listed 6-1 height). The most recent Notre Dame national champion in 1988, 25 years ago, had a starting offensive line that averaged 264.6 pounds per man. 1990 Most recent football season in which a brother combination at Notre Dame started in the same game: tailback Tony Brooks and cornerback Reggie Brooks, who in 1992 would finish fifth in the Heisman Trophy balloting as a tailback. That drought could be broken this season by offensive left tackle Zack Martin and center Nick Martin. The last time Notre Dame started two brothers together on the offensive line was in 1978 with center Dave Huffman and right guard Tim Huffman. 31,652 Official attendance at Notre Dame's 2013 BlueGold Game, the fifth highest in the program's history, and the most in four seasons under head coach Brian Kelly, topping last year's mark of 31,582. The record is 51,852 in 2007, the year National Player of the Year Jimmy Clausen was an early enrollee at quarterback.
