Junior outside hitter Charley Niego and the
Notre Dame volleyball squad have gotten off
to a high-flying start in 2020. The No. 6-ranked
Fighting Irish opened the season with an im-
pressive 3-0 win at perennial power Louisville
Sept. 25, then followed that up by sweeping
No. 5 Syracuse 3-1 and 3-0 at home Oct. 2-3.
Niego was tabbed as the ACC Player of the
Week after racking up 34 kills, a .349 hitting
percentage and 27 digs in the two wins versus
the Orange.
