Senior Matt Vogrich took home the Bodnar Award for Academic Achievement, while freshman Nik Stauskas captured the Award for Outstanding Free Throw Shooting. Freshman Glenn Robinson III earned the Iron Man Award. Burke earned MVP honors both of his years in Ann Arbor, with this year's trophy making him the 23rd player in Michigan history to earn multiple such honors. The most recent prior to Burke was DeShawn Sims, in 2009-10. Maize And Blue Notebook U.S. Champion • A two-time national champion in the 141-pound weight class (2011 and 2012) during his collegiate career, former Wolverine Kellen Russell won the 66 kilogram/145.5-pound title at the U.S. Open April 18-20, rising from an unseeded participant to the overall victory. Russell scored a 0-1, 2-2, 1-0 win over Oklahoma State's Jordan Oliver to earn his second freestyle championship, but first on U.S. soil. The High Bridge, N.J., native went 7-0, and he will now advance to the best-ofthree championship series at the U.S. World Team Trials June 21-22. Set To Compete • Freshman Marni Oldershaw and sophomore Claudia Lau from the women's swimming and diving team will represent their respective countries at the World University Games July 6-17 in Kazan, Russia. Oldershaw will compete in the 400-meter individual medley for Team Canada while Lau was selected for the Hong Kong team and will swim the 50-, 100- and 200-meter backstroke events. On the men's team, junior Hassaan Abdel Khalik and sophomore Richard Funk will compete in the 2013 FINA World Championships July 19-Aug. 4 in Barcelona. Both Canadians, Khalik will hit the water in the 100- and 200-meter freestyle races while Funk will compete in the 100-meter breaststroke. A Big Change Coming • In 2014 and 2015, the men's basketball Final Four games will air on TBS, not CBS, the network announced. CBS will still carry the championship contest those two seasons. Beginning in 2016, all three games — the semifinals and final — will air on TBS with them returning to CBS in 2017, and a rotation commencing through 2024.
