Under the Dome ✦ Gimme Five Five of the nation's top websites or preseason college football publications have weighed in with their projections for the 2013 campaign. Alabama is the favorite to win an unprecedented third consecutive national title, and fourth in five years, with Ohio State (12‑0 last year but ineligible for a bowl) as its most likely opponent in the BCS National Championship Game. Head coach Urban Meyer's Buckeyes, though, did receive the preseason nod from ESPN.com and CBSSports.com. For the most part, a return trip to the BCS is predicted for Notre Dame, although not to the title game, with Athlon predicting the Fighting Irish to play ACC champion Clemson in the Jan. 3 Orange Bowl in Miami, the site of Notre Dame's 42‑14 loss this to Alabama Jan. 7. Lindy's does not have the Irish as one of their 10 BCS teams. Notre Dame has yet to record a BCS postseason victory since the inception of the format in 1998. Here are the predictions: Rk.
