On The Bubble (seven): Cornerback
Devin Butler, offensive tackle Steve
Elmer, running back Tarean Folston,
wide receiver William Fuller, cornerbacks Rashad Kinlaw and Cole Luke,
and wide receiver Corey Robinson.
If the five veteran returning cornerbacks — seniors Bennett Jackson and
Lo Wood, juniors Josh Atkinson and
Jalen Brown, and sophomore KeiVarae Russell — stay relatively healthy,
maybe only one of the three firstyear corners might be in the mix. The
backup veteran corners also can aid
special teams.
The 6-4, 197-pound Robinson is on
the bubble because while he might
not be physically primed yet to see
action (a la DaVaris Daniels in 2011),
Kelly envisions him as a niche player
(a la Chris Brown on the "go" route
in 2012). Robinson's size, excellent
Wide receiver Corey Robinson, who impressed observers during spring practice before hyperextending his
elbow, could carve out a minor role in 2013.
