Her time of 52.19 seconds at the Big East Championships set a track record at the Bauer Complex in Piscataway, N.J. Brown was 0.14 seconds away from setting a school record and two-hundredths of a second behind this year's national leader, Arkansas junior Sparkle McKnight. Her performance helped Notre Dame win the conference title. Cory Sciupider — Fr., Golf The rookie shot his best round of the season on the final day of the Big East Tournament in April. Sciupider finished third overall in the conference with a 5-under-par 67 to propel the Irish back into the top three on the team leaderboard. That round for the National Honors Society member included seven birdies. He finished 21st overall at the Hawkeye Invitational earlier in the month. Erin Boxberger — So., Rowing The Overland Park, Kan., native helped Notre Dame to a first-place finish in the Dale England Cup in Bloomington, Ind., during the final weekend of April. Her first varsity eight boat clocked the fastest time of the meet. Boxberger is one of two Irish rowers who were invited to this summer's USRowing national camp to compete for a spot on the American team during the 2013 World Rowing Championships. Trey Mancini — Jr., Baseball Notre Dame's cleanup hitter batted .466 in 19 games during the month of April. He didn't fully heat up until later in the month when he hit .619 during his last 11 games of April. In the final four games of the month, he went an amazing 18 for 22 (.818). Mancini won the Big East Player of the Week and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association National Hitter of the Week awards at the end of that stretch.
