Inglesby, watched Geben and AAU outfit Team Takeover several times in April. "They've been really involved," Geben said of Notre Dame. "Coach Solomon came to watch me work out, and they've just been calling and being in touch." Geben, who is not yet rated by 247Sports after averaging 17 points and 12 rebounds per game for the Gaels (21-11) last year, said it helps that Brey hails from DeMatha High in Hyattsville, Md., and routinely scours the East Coast for talent. "He knows the area well and knows the good schools," Geben said. "I like the way they play; they share the ball really well, they have good shooters and strong big men." The attention from Brey in Virginia was "special" and "an honor" according to Geben, who beefed up 15 pounds since last year and now weighs in at 230 pounds. It has helped him stand out a little more on a loaded Team Takeover squad, which typically rotates 10 players and is undefeated on the year. Geben' is comfortable with his back to the basket or facing the goal, and is a strong rebounder and proficient passer out of the post. He's not the highest leaper or flashiest of recruits, but he has good knowledge of the game, and is extremely mature and driven. "Adding weight lets me handle the physical contact down low," he said. "I'm just stronger; I can bang around with big people. I want to just keep getting stronger and better, and improve my handling and outside game a little bit." Chicago Star Paul White Offered Power forward Paul White planned to narrow his recruiting focus this spring, but has since had a change of heart. The 6-9, 210-pounder from Chicago Whitney Young High wants to see where the summer AAU ride takes him. Ranked 52nd nationally, fourth overall in Illinois and 13th at his position nationally by 247Sports, and having received an offer from Notre Dame in early April, White is weighing playing near his home versus seizing the best opportunity. Notre Dame hopes the White, a 6-9, 210-pound power forward, is currently Notre Dame's top target from the Chicago area. He has visited the South Bend campus once already and hopes to do it again. photo courtesy 247sports
