4 THE WOLVERINE OCTOBER 2021 On the Wolverines' week-two win over Washington and the atmo - sphere at The Big House on a big re- cruiting weekend … • There was never really a threat from Washington's offense. We didn't respect their O at all, and the only way we lose is throwing at two NFL corners when we are manhandling them in the trenches. Our passing game will become more effective over the coming games, and teams will have to sell out to stop our monster running attack. Joe Incognito • Great day overall with possible posi- tive effects on recruiting. We pretty much dominate UW in the trenches, Ohio State's defense gets exposed and loses, Tennessee gets beat at home by Pitt, USC is struggling at the half [and then fires their coach after losing], Texas gets crushed by Arkansas, etc. RHT47 • Saw and talked to [2022 four-star of- fensive line target Josh] Conerly while he was walking around. He definitely was in awe with the whole experience. GaigeParker • When was the last time we saw Mich- igan so thoroughly dominate the line of scrimmage against a quality opponent and their front seven? orsons • That was a great game for [five-star cornerback target] Domani Jackson to visit. To feel that atmosphere and see first hand how he can help the team. I don't think from a game perspective it could have gone any better for him. That place was hopping. They won't make another visit that can compare. MgoBill • I was bullish on this defense this off- season, while many were saying that it'd take 2-3 years for Mike Macdonald to get his guys and teach his system. Changing DCs doesn't take long for re- sults. And we have a veteran defense with at least two elite, first-round NFL talents. Experience plus those two guys should make for a good defense. Our No. 1 worry defensively, in my opinion, is our DT depth is thin. If we can stay healthy this will be a good defense be- cause it's got talent, size and skill.
