OCTOBER 2021 THE WOLVERINE 63   MICHIGAN IN THE PROS FORMER WOLVERINES IN THE NFL Through Sept. 20 (Week 2) • Tom Brady (Played at U-M from 1995-99), QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Completing 65.1 percent of his passes for 655 yards for the 2-0 Buccaneers … Led his 49th career game-winning drive in a 31-29 triumph over the Dallas Cowboys Sept. 9. • Ben Bredeson (2016-19), OL, New York Giants: Traded by the Baltimore Ravens — the team that drafted him in 2020 — to the Giants Aug. 31 … Came off the bench in both games for the 0-2 Giants and posted a below-average overall PFF grade of 57.9 while playing both right and left guard. • Devin Bush Jr. (2016-18), LB, Pitts- burgh Steelers: Played Sept. 12 against the Buffalo Bills in his first regular-sea- son contest since tearing his ACL in Week 5 last season … Totaled 10 tack- les, but sat out the team's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders Sept. 19 due to an injury he suffered in practice just two days prior. • Camaron Cheeseman (2016-19), LS, Washington Football Team: Has snapped on punts and place kicks 19 times in two contests for the 1-1 Foot- ball Team, with the unit nailing six of its seven field goal attempts. • Frank Clark (2011-14), DE, Kan- sas City Chiefs: Missed the 1-1 Chiefs' opener with a hamstring injury that was lingering from preseason practices, but made his season debut Sept. 19, start- ing in a loss to the Baltimore Ravens and recording two tackles, including one stop behind the line of scrimmage. • Mason Cole (2014-17), OL, Min- nesota Vikings: Saw action on special teams in both of the 0-2 Vikings' tilts. • Nico Collins (2017-19), WR, Hous- ton Texans: Made his starting debut for the 1-1 Texans in a Sept. 19 loss to the Cleveland Browns, catching one ball for 32 yards, after playing a backup role in the opener Sept. 12, a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars … Suffered a shoulder injury against the Browns and is expected to miss three to four weeks. • Mike Danna (2019), DE, Kansas City Chiefs: Started in the absence of Clark Sept. 12 against the Browns, re- cording three tackles and one quarter- back hit, before coming off the bench and not recording any stats Sept. 19 versus the Ravens. • Chris Evans (2016-20), RB, Cincin- nati Bengals: Played on special teams for the 1-1 Bengals in a Sept. 12 triumph over the Vikings, before registering one reception for 14 yards in a Sept. 19 set- back to the Chicago Bears. • Rashan Gary (2016-18), LB, Green Bay Packers: Started both of the 1-1 Packers' first two contests, totaling two tackles. • Zach Gentry (2015-18), TE, Pitts- burgh Steelers: The third-stringer has one catch for negative-two yards while playing sparingly in two contests for the 1-1 Steelers. • Graham Glasgow (2011-15), OL, Denver Broncos: Started at right guard in the 2-0 Broncos' triumph over the New York Giants Sept. 12, not allowing any sacks or committing any penalties ... Following the game, he was taken to the hospital after experiencing an irregular heartbeat, forcing him to miss the ensuing clash. • Jordan Glasgow (2015-19), LB, In- dianapolis Colts: Competed on special teams for the 0-2 Colts Sept. 12 versus the Seattle Seahawks, before seeing two snaps on defense and totaling two tackles Sept. 19 against the Los Angeles Rams. • Brandon Graham (2006-09), DE, Philadelphia Eagles: Started and com- piled two tackles, including one stop for loss in a Sept. 12 win over the Atlanta Falcons, before suffering a season-end- ing Achilles injury in a setback to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2. • Chad Henne (2004-07), QB, Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes' backup has not seen game action for the 1-1 Chiefs. • Khaleke Hudson (2016-19), LB, Washington Football Team: Received special teams playing time in both of 1-1 Washington's contests to date. • Maurice Hurst (2013-17), DT, San Francisco 49ers: Placed on the injured reserve list while he recovers from an ankle ailment. • Taylor Lewan (2009-13), OL, Ten- nessee Titans: Allowed two sacks and posted a poor overall PFF rating of 39.7 in the 1-1 Titans' loss to the Arizona Car- dinals Sept. 12, before hurting his knee in pregame warmups and not playing in a Sept. 19 triumph over the Seattle Seahawks. • Jourdan Lewis (2013-16), CB, Dal- las Cowboys: Began the game in the 1-1 Cowboys' loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sept. 9, intercepting Brady once, coming away with a fumble re- covery and generating two tackles with two pass breakups … Came off the bench in a Sept. 19 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, totaling two stops. • David Long Jr. (2016-18), CB, Los Angeles Rams: Made his second career Derrick Walton Jr. • NBA The former free agent who didn't land with a team in 2020-21 signed an Exhibit 10 contract with his hometown Detroit Pistons, marking his second stint with the franchise after being inked to a 10-day contract Feb. 21, 2020, and making four appearances. Such a deal can be converted to a two-way contract before the start of the season if the team chooses. His former head coach at Michigan, John Beilein, is now the Pistons' senior player development advisor. Kyle Connor • NHL The Winnipeg Jets' forward was tabbed by NHL Network research- ers, producers and on-air personalities as the league's 35th-best overall player heading into the 2021-22 campaign. Last season, he registered 73 points (38 goals, 35 assists), helping lead the Jets to a berth in the Stanley Cup Qualifiers. He also averaged an NHL career- high 21:05 of ice time and was tied for fifth in the league with seven game-winning goals. Max Pacioretty • NHL The Las Vegas Golden Knights' forward led the team with 32 goals and 66 points in 71 outings last season, marking the sixth time in the past nine years he scored at least 30 goals, helping his team make the playoffs.
