commitment profile Film Evaluation Strengths: Peppers has exceptional natural gifts. His 6-1, 210-pound size is an anomaly at the position, and allows him to be both physical and rangy. He is also a plus athlete for the cornerback position and flips his hips to run with receivers very well. Peppers' mindset on defense shows that he would like to punish opposing players, and that carries over to his performances on the offensive side of the ball, as well. He is not just talented, but also tough. Areas Of Improvement: There's a reason that Peppers is the No. 2 player in the nation: weaknesses are few and far between. His technique can always use improvement at Michigan, and when he arrives at college and focuses on one position, it should improve quickly. Using Peppers only on defense is a waste of his skills — he would likely be one of the top three running backs in the nation if that was his college preference. One of his few downsides may be that he's too good to not spread thin. Michigan Player Comparison: The resemblance is not noted lightly: Charles Woodson (1995-97) was not only one of the greatest defenders to don the winged helmet, but he made a huge impact on offense and special teams, as well. It's unfair to project Peppers as a Heisman Trophy winner, but he's as close physically to Woodson as it comes. — Analysis from TheWolverine.com
