Michigan Fourth In Directors' Cup Michigan once again featured one of the elite overall athletic programs in the nation this year, finishing fourth in the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings. The Wolverines totaled 1,138.25 points on the year, behind only perennial winner Stanford (1,261.25), Florida (1,244.75), and UCLA (1,227.25). Stanford has won the cup 19 straight years, but Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon has made it clear he'd like to see U-M snap that streak at some point.
