4 THE WOLVERINE OCTOBER 2022 TURNING THE PAGE TO BIG TEN PLAY We'll know a good deal more Saturday. Maryland will test the D. And it seems they may also test our pass pro. Everything will need to be earned going forward. MH20 Enjoyed the warmup games and seeing the new faces. Sorry about the bad luck with Cade [McNamara]. He worked hard. Am concerned about the issues you men- tioned. O-line is very inconsistent, and we played poor teams. J.J. [McCarthy] is gonna need his legs. Would like to see a better run game as well. The O-line injuries hopefully will clear up so we can get a consistent rotation. The WR group looks really good, and the TE group as well though lightly used. Special teams look very good so far as well. The defense clearly against Maryland will have to get more pressure on little Tua [Taulia Tagovailoa]. They can throw the ball. The WR group for the Terps is good as well. Hopefully our pressure will improve. But they will score some points. Plus hope the interior line can get more consistent stopping the run. But I think the "preseason" games helped. Got a lot of playing time for kids. Now the real season begins. GO BLUE! Avalonbluefan Michigan overwhelmed its three nonconference opponents 166-17 and entered its Big Ten opener with Maryland as the nation's No. 1 scoring offense (55.3 points per game).
