hen Michigan head coach
Jim Harbaugh evaluates
recruiting film, one of the
first things he looks for
is one that might seem like the most
obvious:
Is the kid a football player?
Often these days, coaches look at
athleticism first, extending a schol-
arship offer if a kid simply shows well
in summer in shorts and a T-shirt.
Harbaugh, though, likes guys who
make plays on the football field, and
he and his staff found a great one in
edge Jaylen Harrell.
"Only" the No. 52 player out of
Florida in 2020, Harrell started to
make an impact at Michigan last year.
