NOVEMBER 2022 THE WOLVERINE 53   MICHIGAN RECRUITING High tight end Hogan Hansen was im- pressed with his first-ever U-M visit. "My experience at The Big House was awesome, and the atmosphere was in- sane," he said. "The win really showed me how versatile the tight ends are — being able to be physical and help out the run game in 12 and 13 personnel, which I think resonates with me. I like to think I'm just as good in the run game as the pass." • The visitors list also featured some of the best prospects in the 2025 recruiting class. While it's still early, the Wolver- ines made big impressions on guys like top-100 Findlay (Ohio) High quarter- back Ryan Montgomery. "Michigan looked dominant in their win against Penn State. Over 550 yards of to- tal offense is crazy, especially against a top-10 team," Montgomery said. "They just looked like they were having fun, too. The experience was great overall. Electric environment. Enjoyed every second of it." • The youngest Michigan target in at- tendance was 2026 Detroit Cass Tech athlete CJ Sadler, who already has an offer from Michigan in hand. "I feel like they played good team ball, and their run game was excellent," Sadler said. "That was my first time at a Michi- gan game this year, and they treated me very well. Good food, good service and they were just showing love." ❏ U-M ADDS 15TH COMMIT TO 2023 CLASS Michigan had just one uncom- mitted 2023 recruit in for an official visit for the Penn State game in three-star Kan- sas City (Mo.) Park Hill athlete Kendrick Bell, the younger brother of Michigan wide receiver Ronnie Bell. Michigan was trending as the fa- vorite here. Two days later on Oct. 17, he confirmed the buzz and verbally committed to U-M. Bell is a versatile athlete at 6-2, 170, who can play quarterback, wide re- ceiver or defensive back at the next level. He passed for 2,267 yards, rushed for 313 yards and accounted for 30 touchdowns as a junior. The day before arriving at Michigan, Bell completed 35 of 48 passes for 363 yards and 5 touchdowns while also rushing for 169 yards in his team's 48-33 win vs. Kansas City (Mo.) Staley.
