Robinson grew up in New Haven, Conn., but elected in the offseason to transfer to IMG Academy. He's ranked No. 3 in the nation by On3 and was tak- ing his third visit to Penn State. His last trip was for last year's game against Il- linois. Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Notre Dame, Texas and Tennessee are just a few of the top schools to offer the 5-11, 180-pound cornerback. "The atmosphere was crazy. It was electric in that building," Robinson said. "It was a great experience." He went on to add, "Those guys re- ally make me feel at home and they re- ally want me there. Their defense fits my style of play. I talk to [cornerbacks coach] Terry Smith and [assistant recruiting coordinators] Alan Zemai- tis and Rashad Elby the most. Coach Franklin also calls me to talk as well. They've all done a great job of recruiting me and my family." Wingo, a four-star prospect accord- ing to On3, visited Penn State for the first time on White Out weekend. The 6-2, 198-pound wideout has developed a good relationship with receivers coach Taylor Stubblefield, although there's no shortage of competition. Notre Dame has hosted him five times already, while Arkansas has welcomed him four times. LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M also have hosted Wingo. Another elite receiver, Philadelphia native Tyseer Denmark, also made the trip. Listed at 5-10, 185 pounds, Den- mark recently announced that he's planning to end his recruitment on his mother's birthday, Nov. 24, which also happens to be Thanksgiving this year. Ohio State is believed to be Penn State's main competitor, although Oregon, Tennessee and USC are also still in the mix. "I loved the game," Denmark said. "It's always a great atmosphere there, but for that game, it's just always differ- ent every time. Mom enjoyed it, too, and that's what really makes me smile. She was excited to be there." Four-star linebacker Kris Jones of Stafford, Va., and four-star defensive end Brian Robinson of Austintown, Ohio, were also among the top players in attendance. Jones has now attended three games in Beaver Stadium, as well as a camp in July 2021. Those four trips are more than any other school. Ranked No. 111 nationally, he is also the younger cousin of Penn State's director of player per- sonnel, Kenny Sanders. "The crowd was amazing," Jones said. "You could hear them as you were walk- ing out of the tunnel. They're really pas- sionate fans. Watching the game then, you could see how much they impacted it.
