State fans envisioned as a re-
venge-driven rout. Their be-
loved Buckeyes appeared on the ropes
— again — versus the hated Michigan
Wolverines, but all hope hadn't been ex-
tinguished.
Certainly, the much-anticipated blow-
out against the Wolverines wasn't to be.
Buckeye fans spent a full year dream-
ing about it, after Jim Harbaugh's team
smacked down OSU amid Ann Arbor's
gently falling snow, 42-27. The cacoph-
