TRACKING THE PACK NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2023 ■ 11 Zachary joined Boston in the Wolf- pack's class on Oct. 5, shortly after taking an official visit. He said the Louisville game on Sept. 29 was one of the highlights of his visit, and he also enjoyed the time he spent with his future teammates, including current freshman cornerback Brandon Cisse, who served as his host. "They're great," Zachary said. "Ev- erybody's a family, everybody's to- gether. I enjoyed my time with them, definitely." Zachary, who will enroll at NC State in January, got off to a strong start as a senior at Calhoun County High, total- ing 500 receiving yards and 12 touch- downs in his first six games. At 6-3, 190 pounds, he has the size and speed to be a big-play outside re- ceiver at the college level. On3 rates him as the No. 142 wideout nationally and No. 13 overall prospect in South Carolina. Having chosen NC State over Virginia and Duke, he sees an op- portunity for early playing time at the college level. "If you're looking for a big play, you're looking for me," Zachary said. "I'm going to go get it." In addition to bolstering its receiv- ing corps, NC State has also added to its defensive haul. On Sept. 18, the Pack earned a commitment from three-star linebacker Joshua Ofor of Jonesboro, Ga. Rated by On3 as the nation's No. 66 linebacker and No. 79 overall prospect in his home state, Ofor took an official visit to NC State on the weekend of Sept. 8-10. It was his last scheduled recruiting trip, and by the time it had concluded, he had made up his mind. NC State's staff sees Ofor playing the Will position, but he has the size (6-0, 205 pounds) and skill to play all three spots. He plays in a 3-3-5 de- fense at Mundy's Mill High, and he already knows the system well. He's planning to enroll at NC State in Janu- ary, so that, too, should help speed his acclimation. "Most of this stuff is going to be common knowledge to me already," said Ofor, who was also considering Ole Miss and East Carolina. "I really think I've got a good chance of coming in and playing early." ■ At 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, Christian Zachary has the size and speed to excel as an outside receiver at the college level.
