A three-star recruit, Walker was the No. 466 overall player in the country, per the On3 Industry Ranking. — Clayton Sayfie FORMER ARKANSAS STATE KICKER DOMINIC ZVADA COMMITS TO MICHIGAN Dominic Zvada has long been scheduled to play at The Big House this fall, but now he will do so eight or more times in- stead of just once. The former Arkansas State kicker entered the transfer portal in April and made his pledge to U-M on the 26th of the month. The Red Wolves are slated to visit Ann Arbor for a Sept. 14 clash. Zvada spent two seasons with Arkansas State and has two years of eligibility remaining. The 6-foot-3, 174-pound Chandler, Ariz., native made 17 of his 22 field goals last season, after connecting on 17 of 18 tries as a freshman in 2022. He's made 71 of his 72 career extra point attempts. Zvada has a big leg, having made 12 of his 14 attempts from between 40-49 yards, and he's also 2-of-3 from 50-plus yards with makes from both 56 and 53 yards. Michigan has one other scholarship kicker in sophomore Adam Samaha, who went 1-of-2 on field goals with a 31-yard make and 30-yard miss in the spring game. — Clayton Sayfie U-M LOSES SEVEN PLAYERS TO TRANSFER PORTAL Michigan football had seven defections to the trans- fer portal during the April period that lasted from the 15th to 30th: freshman early enrollee linebacker Jer- emiah Beasley, sophomore linebacker Semaj Bridge- man, senior wide receiver Cristian Dixon, sopho- more wide receiver Karmello English, sophomore offensive lineman Amir Herring, sophomore linebacker Hayden Moore and sophomore cornerback DJ Waller Jr. N o n e o f t h e f i ve h a d m a d e s i g n i f i ca nt i m - p a c t s i n t h e i r U - M ca re e rs , l o g g i n g a co m - bined total of 224 offensive/defensive snaps.
