sk any veteran coach about the ben-
efits of long-term program success,
and many will say the same thing
— a winning culture almost builds
on itself.
"The expectation is for the position" is
cliché at Michigan, maybe even overused,
but for years, they swore by it in Schem-
bechler Hall. Players weren't going to be
the weak links and let down the men who
played before them.
But there's something else a success-
fully sustained program offers, too — leg-
acies. And when it comes to pride in the
program, these are the guys who are car-
rying the biggest torches of all.
Their fathers'.
In the last 20 years alone, great "Mich-
igan Men" have provided sons who have
